The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Adult Protective Services (APS) unit, with support from a RedMane Technology and Spruce Technology team, successfully implemented a modern investigation solution to expedite casework and allow staff to be fully productive while working in the office and with clients in the community.  Each year, Florida’s APS unit performs over 40,000 investigations and serves more than 52,000 adults.

The Serving Adults and Families Effectively (SAFE) solution automates routine tasks, supports completing forms and capturing signatures electronically, and through integration with key State systems presents investigators the full picture of a case.  With its mobile component, which even works when outside of cellular or Wi-Fi range, investigators can be perform casework when they are in homes, institutions, hospitals, or anywhere in the field.

Powered by RedMane Technology’s mCase platform, the cloud-based Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) system fosters interoperability and seamless case coordination. Its flexibility and high configurability ensure that it meets and supports the evolving needs of the APS unit without the need for coding as policies, regulations, and practices change.
