Florida Expands Adult Protective Services Modernization Effort to Community Services with Award to RedMane Technology

The Florida Department of Children and Families’ (DCF) Adult Protective Services (APS) unit awarded RedMane Technology a contract to assist APS with modernizing its service delivery and case management program for vulnerable adults.

Building on the successful fall 2023 launch of its Serving Adults and Families Effectively (SAFE) solution that brought start-of-the-art technology to its investigation function, APS is taking the next step and upgrading how it manages and delivers services to adults in need of support.  Like SAFE, the new solution will be configured on RedMane’s mCase platform.

The new service delivery and case management system will make it easier for staff to create and maintain case records for all APS service programs, manage waitlists, generate and populate electronic forms and capture e-signatures, configure payments, match placements, and perform progress evaluations.  It will interoperate with SAFE and other State systems to streamline the delivery, management, and administration of adult services and programs.

With over 40,000 investigations annually and serving more than 52,000 adults, the APS unit plays a crucial role in safeguarding and supporting vulnerable adults across Florida.

mCase, RedMane’s cloud-based Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) platform, supports Florida’s evolving needs without the necessity for extensive coding when policies or practices change. Its mobile functionality allows APS staff to provide service to clients everywhere, even in environments with limited or no internet connectivity.

“We are proud to again partner with Florida DCF on this most vital APS modernization program,” said Cem Tanyel, RedMane’s Chief Executive Officer. “Florida continues to set the standard in using the power of technology to improve client service and drive efficiencies.”

The Department has over 12,000 staff that work tirelessly in support of that mission. The APS unit is the designated state agency to investigate abuse against vulnerable adults and coordinate critical support services to that population.
