Protecting Virginia’s Children with CCWIS
Virginia caseworkers in the office and the field need immediate access to critical child and family data.
They need to be able to meet with a family anywhere, assess the situation, utilize proven assessment tools, develop an appropriate plan, and have it agreed upon, printed, and signed in a single visit.
And it all has to work on mobile devices, even when out of cellular or Wifi range.
RedMane is implementing its mCase platform and integrating it into the Commonwealth’s environment to address these and other Virginia requirements. With mCase, caseworkers can focus more on the needs and positive outcomes of their clients, while spending less time on record keeping.
RedMane’s work is in support of the Commonwealth’s Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) Enterprise Mobile Software Solution project. This project is part of Virginia’s cloud-based and modular strategy to improve child protection services. By modernizing in a series of well-defined steps, Virginia gets needed tools in the hands of caseworkers sooner, while avoiding the risk of a single mega project.
