• mCase Prerequisites and Recommendations

    This document outlines the supported prerequisites and recommendations for the mCase platform for v6.x.

    Web Solution

    Windows

    The following are the minimum hardware and software requirements to support mCase’s web platform on Windows. These requirements are based on Microsoft’s Edge and Google’s Chrome browser requirements.

    Apple

    The following are the minimum hardware and software requirements to support mCase’s web platform on macOS. These requirements are based on Microsoft’s Edge, Google’s Chrome, and Apple’s Safari browser requirements.

    Browsers

    While RedMane endeavors to use standard web technologies and formats which should be compatible with modern browsers, the browsers identified above are the only ones officially supported.

    Apple Safari, Google Chrome, and Microsoft Edge frequently release new versions, with updates installed automatically by default.  RedMane’s mCase releases are generally tested on the latest stable current version of each of these browsers as part of the mCase release process.

    If these tests are successful, RedMane deems mCase as supporting that version.  mCase may function effectively on other recent versions or with other browsers, though RedMane only formally supports the current version.

    Supporting Components

    RedMane recommends at least 1 GB of memory and at least a 1024 x 768 display setting.

    To view generated PDFs, RedMane recommends Adobe® Acrobat Reader™ 10.1.5 or later.  To view files in Word or Excel, RedMane recommends Microsoft Office 2019 or later.

    mCase can operate on Internet speeds of 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload, though standard Internet speed of 200/20 is recommended for the application.

    Mobile Solution

    Apple

    For Apple, the mCase mobile app requires iOS or iPadOS 15.2 or higher (based on the currently supported operating systems). mCase will only support devices not included in Apple’s Vintage or Obsolete products list.

    Android

    For Android devices, the mCase mobile app requires the latest Android OS release minus 1 (11.0 or higher) with Chrome V99 or higher.
